We are so fortunate that God is not like us at all. Do you agree?
From a devotional I read
We have to remember that what we have done does not change who God is. We serve a God of grace, love, mercy, forgiveness, redemption, wholeness, healing, and hope. The enemy would like us to think we have committed that unforgivable sin and that the blood of Jesus is not enough to wipe us clean. But the truth is, Jesus' blood has the power to wash away every stain, and His gracious mercy never changes. Our God is unchanging forever! Go to God today in faith, knowing that you are fully forgiven – forever!
My Thoughts about this
I find that when we are down and out. Sort of in a funk or maybe just not fully restored, it is easy to reflect on our unworthiness and own it. After all, we are human, and humans have some issues. Some of us might be able to avoid the big trials of life; some don't. Either way, God is God. He gave us the precious gift of His son's blood to make us new. Despite our failings, we are still forgiven by the one who created us.
For some, this might not seem fair. After all, some people have done and still do things way worse than us. At least for some of us. So when we look over there, we would like some earthly justice, some righting of the wrong. But, fortunately, or unfortunately, it does not work that way. God has the final say on judgment. We don't. Get over it.

Since we are all sinners, some worse than others, it is a true blessing we have a Heavenly Father who loves us and cheers for us. Who loves us no matter what forever and always.
I, for one, thank God for that and try to model that in my life. After all, if you don't feel like someone will always be there, thick and thin, life can be lonely.
Here is to the wonderful God we have, to live a life in his Word, living in a way He would want and a way He reflects. May we abandon our earthly way of thinking and embrace more the God-centered way. Life will no doubt be filled with more joy and way less stress.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank you for forgiving me when I might not want to forgive myself. Thank you for cheering for me even when I didn't seem worthy of those cheers. Thank you for being and staying in my corner despite my times of not noticing. Thank you for the relationship we share, and may I never forget just how it is truly the most important one I have. I ask all of this through Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior. Amen.
